Well, it’s not technically Memorial Day yet, but it really doesn’t matter around the venerable Crackhouse since renovation work is going on unfettered. Today Dennis, the drywall finisher wrapped up the third pulling of the drywall mud, thus completing that end of things. Tomorrow the dried mud gets sanded, and on monday the painter comes in to prime the walls and ceilings and the carpenters return to get rolling on various things.
So, anyhoo, here’s the current status:

Living room
Looking into the dining room
Our newly formed hallway, running through what was once a weird little anteroom and a closet
The bedroom, featuring six big double-hung windows
Here’s the view looking from the bedroom into the newly formed walk-in closet and master bath–previously a small bathroom and the other half of the weird anteroom respectively
And finally, here’s our shower enclosure in-progress. The inside will be tiled and that borded up window opening will be filled in with brick glass

If this sort of progress continues, I may have to stop calling it “The Crackhouse.”
