Satisfactory Comics: Shufflepagus

Issac Cates and Mike Wenthe of Satisfactory Comics seem to be blogging now over at satisfactorycomics.blogspot.com and the most recent post there is generally all about the “shufflepagus” comics jam technique, but uses as an example the particular shufflepagus that I participated in, back before SPX 2006, with Mike, Issac and Adam Rosenblatt. The shufflepagus is one of the funnest, but most challenging, jam comics techniques around, but it’s kind of hard to explain in the abstract. Isaac, though, does a great job of explaining the basic idea in this post and supplies plenty of visual examples to bring it all together.

  1. Thanks for the shout-out / link, Ben! My favorite panel in that shuff is still the center one — your awesome inking on that pipe-smoking caterpillar: it’s just perfect. I wish we’d had time to do more of these. Maybe before the next SPX? I think I’m going to be there.
