I did this in my sketchbook a couple of nights ago. I think it’s inspired partly by that bearded guy that works in the Grand Central hotel in the show Deadwood and partly by the very similar looking character, Skinny, in James Sturm’s book Hundreds of Feet Below Daylight.

The E.B. Farnum/Richardson duo is one of my favorite things about Deadwood. Richardson seems to descended from druids of some sort, what with the way he worships antlers.
Though I always expect Farnum to bust out with a “yoo hoo” or a “I MAKE friends. They’re toys. My friends are toys. I make them.”
