Portrait Night 7/26 (Greg Norton)

Tonight’s #PortraitNight subject is Hüsker Dü bassist and wearer of rock’s greatest mustache (sorry, Freddie Mercury), Greg Norton. I tried to get out of my “music rut” this week to no avail. I did a pencil sketch of Joseph Heller, but it was 100% terrible… so back to 80s indie rock it is.

Nice portrait! I might add, that a portrait of Grant Hart gives plenty of opportunities for wackiness. I met him a few months back here in Charlotte, and let me tell ya, he is a man of his own peculiar vision, so to speak…

@John – OK, you can’t just say “I recently met Grant Hart” and leave it at that. Either spill now… or maybe if I see you Saturday when you’re playing in Winston.

@chris – Yeah I love the Hüskers…. I should have done the whole band, but I was on vacation at the beach and only had one tiny picture in a book I was reading to go on!
