All those artsy comics-journal-message-board-types are always “Dan Clowes” this, and “Crag Thompson” that… But why is no one discussing “The Angriest Dog in the World?”
The dog who is so angry he cannot move. He cannot eat. He cannot sleep. He can just barely growl.
…Bound so tightly with tension and anger, he approaches the state of rigor mortis.

We used to get “The Angriest Dog in the World” in a local art’s paper I wrote for “The Nice Paper” (which was anything but) and it vanishid in 1993. I remember towards the end the text was deteriating into Lynch’s shopping list; Pound of burger, Light bulbs, 4 cans of tuna, mop head and pinesol. Other times it read like a Post-It note: Don’t forget Mom’s birthday, Call Dean Stockwell, try to write Fire Walk With Me.
I belive a single image of The Angriest Dog in the World, puts to scorn all of Blankets and the last two Eightballs.
