As mentioned in previous years, I mark the beginning of the cold season here in Winston-Salem with the first sighting of my dog perched with her rump on top of the largest–and hottest–furnace vent in the crackhouse living room.

Your Mom’s Basement: Draculas Vs. Frankensteins The age old debate continues, in this case with Jesse Farrell (age 10) championing Dracula and Marty Allen (also age 10) playing counterpoint.  Whether these are actual children or not, it’s a pretty funny article.

I neither know nore care much about basketball, but this guy was apparently a friend of my grandfather, Hardy Pearce.  They both attended George Washington Univeristy, and are both GW Hall of Famers.
