This year marks the 20th year in the comic book business for publisher Slave Labor Graphics. This is a remarkable feat for an independent comic book publisher. In fact, off the top of my head, I can only think of one other such entity that’s been around that long, that being Fantagraphics, which relied in a large part on a line of porn comics to prop up its regular line of alt comics.
To celebrate, SLG Editor-in-Cheif, Jennifer de Guzman put together an 20th anniversary anthology for head honco Dan Vado. The included stories were all by SLG creators and most involved SLG histrory or referrenced things that Dan is known to like–stuff like hockey, tikis, and in the case of my submission, The Big Lebowski.
