Tonight’s #PortraitNight drawing is Sal Valentino of the great American rock band The Beau Brummels. I’ve been on a big Bradley’s Barn kick of late, I guess since it’s recently been reissued with a ton of extra tracks. If you only know this band from hearing “Just a Little” on your local oldies station, you owe them another listen. (Not that there’s anything wrong with “Just a Little”–great song, and produced by Sylvester Stewart, AKA Sly Stone!) Their late ’60s records Triangle and Bradley’s Barn are truly spectacular. Anyway… I had higher hopes for this illo, but Thanksgiving travels threw me for a loop schedule-wise. But, here’s The Beau Brummels’ Sal Valentino, drawn from a pic in the most recent Shindig magazine:
