I’m not 100% happy with this drawing, but it’s sure a heck of a lot better than the first pass I made at a Kim Gordon drawing. I think the root of the generally diminishing quality of my Our Band Could Be Your Life #PortraitNight is that I’ve run out of the “low-hanging fruit” in terms of the bands I really like and/or people who are easier to draw. (Mission of Burma is an exception here; I really, really dig them–I just can’t find any decent pics of the band members). I considered just re-posting this old sketchbook drawing of Thurston Moore, but that’d be cheating, wouldn’t it?
