Annoying pest/wannabe reporter/mediocre cartoonist Ted Rall has surprisingly issued a “retraction” of the following “cartoon.” I use quotations in the first case, because I’m not sure that one can really retract a cartoon, and in the second case because the item in question doesn’t seem to be so much a cartoon as simply a graphical mouthpiece for Rall himself. The lesson: If you’ve decided to be a reporter instead of a cartoonist, you need to start fact checking…you know, like real reporters do.
