SHATTER RETURNS

SHATTER RETURNS @ AiT/PLANETLAR – NEWSARAMA

I had almost forgotten about this comic book from the ’80’s called Shatter until I read this article this morning–the book’s beign reprinted apparently.

I loved the book when I was a teen-ager and am tempted to pick this up. I’m curious, though, to see if it holds up some 20 years later. It was entirely drawn (with a mouse) on old MacPaint and MacDraw programs–the first computer drawn comic ever. Even at the time these came out I recognized it as pretty shemelessly stealing a lot of its schtick from Blade Runner. On the other hand, so did pretty much everything else SF-wise at the time–Neuromancer (William Gibson denies the connection curiously), Akira, etc.

Star Wars: Episode IV | This September: Original Unaltered Trilogy on DVD

Lucasfilm is finally going to release the first three Star Wars movies in their original, unaltered form. You know, where Han shoots first in the cantina, and there’s no dopey CGI Jabba the Hut, or that silly “ring” around the exploding Death Star. Now I can finally ditch my decrepit VHS versions I’ve been holding on to.

I dunno what the deal is with these guys who I drew all in one sitting while watching TV:

Joraxas – FINAL demon

So, here it is: the final demon from my (Almost) 100 Demons exercise. I believe the final count is 97. I was three short only because of the peculiar page length of the Moleskine pad I bought.
