More original art for that Comics Journal thread, this time a cartoon by Jack Patton for the Dallas Journal from May of 1937.  Patton is best known as the artist for Texas History Movies.

There’s an interesting thread going on over at the Comics Journal message board in which folks are posting scans of original art they own.  I have only a small handful of original comics art pieces, but I thought I’d scan a few and post them.  Here’s one.  It’s the original art for page 2 of Pete Bagge’s Hate #1:

That’s right, folks–you heard it here first.  It’s skipping right over hobos and going directly from pirates to sloths.
