I recently submitted some sample sketches and drawings to a publisher for a proposed comics version of Macbeth. Here’s a sample panel from Act 1 Scene 5, in which Lady Macbeth is reading a letter in which Macbeth recounts his encounter with the witches–and later, the King’s men– on the heath.

Do you have any more Macbeth comics? I’m teaching Macbeth to a grade 10 class and would love to show them these comics. Great job, by the way.
This is such a cool idea. Makes old Shakey accessible to many! Is a full version of it in stores somewhere?

Those images were a just some samples I submitted; I didn’t get the job, so I don’t know whether they eventually did the book or not, nor if so, with what artist.
It looks like there are some great-looking Manga-ish versions of Shakespeare in the works, though:

I really like your Macbeth Comic idea and I’ve also checked out that link you gave to Lulubelle (of the Manga-ish versions on activeanime.com), but I like your’s a lot better.
Have you done any more pics about Macbeth, and if so could I purchase them for use? My drama group will be doing the play next year and some of these pics would look awesome in the program. We’re a poor non-commerical drama group but we respect copyright and royalties stuff.
