Animal Alphabet: D is for Damselfly

D is for Damselfly

The original art for this is for sale here.

  1. Isaac says:

    Looks nice, Ben!

But from the way that creature’s wings are folded, I can tell you for sure that it’s a damselfly and not a dragonfly.

Dragonflies can’t fold their wings over their abdomens like that, and when they’re at rest they look more like, y’know, biplanes or whatever: basically like the way they look in flight.

  2. Ben says:

@Isaac – Thanks for catching that! I corrected the title. Good thing they both start with “D.”
