I own a stuffed tribble&#8230;and I still have a phaser that I painstakingly made as a child in my grandfather&#8217;s woodshop&#8211;based on a scale drawing of one from &#8220;The Star Trek Technical Manual&#8221; no less.  But, fer crying out loud, would it really be a huge tragedy if we had a few years without a Star Trek show in production?
