{"id":297,"date":"2006-03-13T16:08:18","date_gmt":"2006-03-13T21:08:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.benzilla.com\/?p=297"},"modified":"2006-03-13T16:09:17","modified_gmt":"2006-03-13T21:09:17","slug":"werewolf-by-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.benzilla.com\/?p=297","title":{"rendered":"Werewolf&#8230; by Day!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over at the <a href=\"http:\/\/teachingcomics.org\/cccg\/\">Camel City Cartoonists&#8217; Guild and Social Club message board<\/a>, we&#8217;ve been kicking around some ideas for a minicomic called <strong>Werewolf&#8230; by Day!<\/strong>.  It&#8217;s gonna be a riff on the old 70s Marvel character <strong>Werewolf by Night<\/strong>, except that our book will showcase the characters boring day-to-day activities, rather than his ravaging and maiming, which occurs mainly at night (and has been pretty well documented at this point by the Marvel series).  The character&#8217;s name in the original series was&#8212;believe it or not&#8211;&#8220;Jack Russell,&#8221; but this was the 1970s and well before the advent of <strong>Fraser<\/strong>, so maybe the canine connection is just a conicidence.
