A while back—I can’t exactly remember when, maybe around Thanksgiving—I purchased a small moleskine<\/a> notebook in which I set out to draw one hundred demons\/monsters. I always like to have some sort of fun list-based drawing project going on, and I’ve seen a few other cartoonists who, like me, were inspired by Lynda Barry’s book One! Hundred! Demons!<\/em> and tried this project. Regretably, the notebook in question has only 97 pages… so my version of this exercise is called (Almost) One Hundred Demons<\/strong>. I generated about 250 randomly generated names for these creatures using an online ramdom word generator<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I’m going to be scanning the drawings at the rate of one or two a day (in the order in which I drew them) in preparation for making them into a minicomic and hopefully I’ll have time to post them here as I do. Here’s a first batch:<\/p>\n
