{"id":2197,"date":"2010-07-17T17:48:08","date_gmt":"2010-07-17T21:48:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.benzilla.com\/?p=2197"},"modified":"2010-07-17T17:48:08","modified_gmt":"2010-07-17T21:48:08","slug":"inked-ukulele-one-pager","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.benzilla.com\/?p=2197","title":{"rendered":"Inked Ukulele One-pager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I hesitate to call this a &#8220;comic strip&#8221; since it&#8217;s about 70% words (maybe &#8220;illustrated essay&#8221; would be more accurate) but whatever it is, it&#8217;s inked. \u00a0This strip will appear in the Fall issue of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.signaltonoisemagazine.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Signal to Noise<\/a> magazine, which is where my previous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.benzilla.com\/?p=1223\" target=\"_self\">very wordy one-page music strip about Winston-Salem&#8217;s &#8220;5&#8221; Royales<\/a> also appeared. \u00a0Like the Royales strip, this one will be in full color, but I&#8217;m not going to post that until the magazine&#8217;s been out on the stands for a while so folks can have a chance to pick up the real live issue. \u00a0 This strip is also notable in that it \u00a0includes the single worst caricature of William H. Macy ever committed to paper. \u00a0What can I say&#8211;I&#8217;m up against a deadline here. \u00a0(And since it says &#8220;William H.
