Pencil Roughs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve had a bit of time to move ahead on these <em>Count of Monte Cristo<\/em> pages I&#8217;ve been working on just for fun.\u00a0 I took my very rough thumbnails from the last iteration of this project and turned them all into 15% cyan blue via threshold &#8211;&gt; fill in Photoshop, then I work over those again in orange, red and finally pencil again.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll include page one in it&#8217;s original, colored state, but for the rest I&#8217;ll just post the final images.\u00a0 With these, I&#8217;ve again dropped out all the color other than the pencils and then pulled my lettering in from the previous round of thumbnails.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s the original of the first page, all colors in-tact:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a title=\"01_orig\" href=\"http:\/\/www.benzilla.com\/uploads\/2009\/12\/01_orig.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"attachment wp-att-1912 centered\" src=\"http:\/\/www.benzilla.com\/uploads\/2009\/12\/01_orig.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"01_orig\" width=\"220\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;
