{"id":1729,"date":"2009-08-03T20:57:31","date_gmt":"2009-08-04T00:57:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.benzilla.com\/?p=1729"},"modified":"2009-08-03T21:04:41","modified_gmt":"2009-08-04T01:04:41","slug":"oyster-war-splash-page-inked","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.benzilla.com\/?p=1729","title":{"rendered":"Oyster War Splash Page &#8211; Inked"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hand&#8230; cramping.\u00a0 Must&#8230; finish&#8230; hatching.<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, it&#8217;s been a while since I&#8217;ve used dip pens rather than brushes for inking, and all the hatching is really running my arm through the wringer.\u00a0 (I pretended today that my worn out arm was the reason I played squash so horribly, but I guess that&#8217;s probably not really the case.)\u00a0 Anyway, here&#8217;s the inked page.\u00a0 I&#8217;m clearly still finding my footing when it comes to this style of rendering.\u00a0 I&#8217;d have thought that the parts of the page I did first would be the weakest and the final bits the strongest, but I think I&#8217;m still sorting out how all this works by trial and error throughout and as a result there are some strong areas and some weak areas scattered around randomly.\u00a0 I hope by the time I&#8217;m done with this first batch of sample pages that I&#8217;ll have a pretty consistent dip pen hatching rendering technique.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a title=\"ow_06\" href=\"http:\/\/www.benzilla.com\/uploads\/2009\/08\/ow_06.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"attachment wp-att-1730 centered\" src=\"http:\/\/www.benzilla.com\/uploads\/2009\/08\/ow_06.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"ow_06\" width=\"216\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hand&#8230; cramping.\u00a0 Must&#8230; finish&#8230; hatching.
